What is Compass?
Compass is the guide beside each step of the setup. It explains the question in plain words. It gives general information, not legal or tax advice, and it never files, pays or signs anything.
Compass is the guide that sits next to each question while you set up your company. It explains what the step means so you can answer with confidence.
Compass on our website
On our website, Compass is an AI assistant.
- Type into Ask Compass a question and it answers in plain words about forming and running your US company.
- Select Ask another to keep going.
- Sometimes it shows a Use this chip with a fact from your question. Your answer changes only if you select the chip. Compass never fills in the form on its own.
- It only helps with your US company. Ask about something else and it brings you back to the step.
- If you ask a lot of questions in a short time, it asks you to wait and try again.
Its footer reads: "AI can make mistakes. General information, not legal or tax advice."
Compass in the app
In the app, Compass shows fixed notes for each step instead of a chat. The current step's note opens, and earlier notes fold into one line you can reopen. On smaller screens, select Ask Compass to open it. Its footer reads: "General information, not legal or tax advice."
What Compass doesn't do
- It doesn't file, pay or sign anything.
- It doesn't give legal, tax, accounting or financial advice.
- It can make mistakes, so check anything important with a lawyer or CPA.
