What is the compliance calendar?
The compliance calendar lists your company's filings and their due dates, based on the rules your state publishes. It starts once your company is formed and all formation steps are done.
On this page
The compliance calendar shows the filings your company has to make after it's formed, and when each one is due. It's included with Formation. Select Compliance in the sidebar.
When it starts
Your calendar starts when our team closes the last formation step. Nothing shows before that. Until then you'll see one of these:
- Nothing to file yet: you haven't started a company.
- Your calendar starts when your company is formed: your company is still forming.
- Your calendar is being set up: your company is formed, and our team is putting its filing dates together. They show once ready.
What each item shows
Under Coming up, each filing shows:
- Due and the date.
- When the state starts accepting it, if that is still ahead.
- Who files it.
- A fee line.
- A status: Upcoming, Open for filing, Due soon or Past due.
The dates follow the rules your state publishes, counted from when your company was formed. Our team is still confirming them, and the fees, so amounts aren't shown yet.
Who files what
- "You file this with the state." State filings, such as an annual report, are yours to file. The name of the filing depends on your state.
- Registered agent renewal: appears on your formation anniversary. Your registered agent is included for your first year. See What your registered agent does in your first year.
